Mobile welding across Meridian and the Treasure Valley
The welder rides on my truck. I come to your driveway, your pasture or your job site in Meridian and the Treasure Valley, and I fix it where it sits. Visits start at $95.
What a mobile welding visit looks like
You call or text me a photo. I tell you what it needs and roughly what it'll run. I give you a day, usually one to three days out. I show up with the truck, set up next to the job, and weld it. Most repairs are done in one visit and you're using the thing again that afternoon.
The truck carries a welder, a generator, gas bottles, a grinder, a chop saw, clamps and a rack of steel. I don't need your power. I don't need your shop. I need to get the truck within about fifty feet of the work and I need a little room to move around it.
Gate, trailer and railing repair on site
- Steel, stainless and aluminum. MIG for most repairs, TIG where it has to be clean, stick where it's dirty, windy or thick.
- Gate repair: hinges, latches, sagging frames and pipe fence, welded on the post.
- Trailer repair: tongues, couplers, fenders, decks and ramps, in your driveway.
- Railing repair: posts, handrails and pickets, on the porch or in the stairwell.
Farm equipment, aluminum and structural welding on site
- Farm equipment repair: buckets, bale spears, hitches, implement frames, in the field.
- Aluminum welding with the spool gun for trailers, ramps and wheel line.
- Brackets, mounts and frames on job sites, including structural work for contractors.
What has to go back to the shop
Not everything should be welded in a driveway. If a part needs to be cut apart and squared up on a table, or it needs a long, clean TIG bead on thin aluminum out of the wind, it's better in the shop. I'll tell you that up front, before I drive out, and I'll bring it back and put it in when it's done. Custom fabrication almost always starts in the shop and ends at your place.
How the price works
Visits start at $95. That covers getting the truck to you and the first stretch of work. A cracked hinge or a broken bracket usually lands near that number. Bigger repairs are priced by the job, and I give you the number before I start, not after. If it turns out to need more than I quoted, I stop and tell you.
How to get ready for me
- Clear about six feet around the work. I'll be grinding and there will be sparks.
- Move anything that burns: hay, fuel cans, tarps, dry grass in July. I bring a fire watch bucket, but you know your property.
- If it's a trailer, hitch it or block it so it can't roll. If it's a gate, leave it open.
- Have the thing accessible. A gate behind a locked gate costs both of us time.
- If you've got the broken piece, keep it. It tells me how the part failed.
Where the truck goes
I'm based in Meridian and most of my days are inside the Treasure Valley. Meridian and Eagle are the quickest. Boise, Nampa, Kuna and Caldwell are all under forty minutes. If you're outside those towns, call anyway. I go where the work is.
Where I do this work
Meridian first, then the whole Treasure Valley. Repairs are the same 1 to 3 days out in every town below.
Before you call
Do you need power at my place?
No. The truck carries a generator that runs the welder, the grinder and the lights. If you've got a 220 outlet nearby I'll use it, but I don't count on it.
Can you weld in the wind or rain?
Wind is the bigger problem. It blows the shielding gas off the weld. I carry a windbreak and I can switch to stick, which doesn't care. Rain means the work waits, because water and welding don't mix.
What if the job is bigger than the photo showed?
I stop and tell you before I go past what I quoted. You decide. Nobody gets surprised on the invoice.
How far out are you usually booked?
Repairs are one to three days out most weeks. Same-day happens when the schedule allows and you're in Meridian or Eagle.
Tell me what broke
Send a photo and a few details and I'll call you back with a price and a day. Or just call, Monday through Saturday, 7am to 6pm.
