Mobile welding in Boise, Idaho
Boise is twenty to thirty minutes from my shop, depending on where you are and what I-84 is doing. I serve the whole city, from the Bench to the foothills.
Working in Boise
I come in on I-84 and Franklin, or up Chinden for the north side, and I'm in most of Boise inside half an hour. The work changes by neighborhood. The North End, the East End and the Bench have older homes with steel railings and ornamental gates that have been painted twenty times and rusted at the base under all of it. Downtown and along Fairview and Franklin it's commercial: stairwell railings on apartments, restaurant patio guards, loading docks, racks and structural steel for the contractors putting up mixed-use buildings. Southeast Boise and the foothills have the bigger lots, the driveway gates and the horse-property repairs. And there are trailers everywhere, because everyone in Boise owns a boat or a raft or a side-by-side.

Welding repair in Boise
Gates, trailers, railings and equipment, fixed where they sit and reinforced so they don't break in the same place again. Here's what I can and can't repair.
Custom fabrication in Boise
Gates, railings, brackets and frames built to your measurements, delivered and installed. Here's how a fabrication job goes.
What Boise calls about most
Structural and contractor work. Beams, columns, connections and embeds, documented for the City of Boise inspector. I hit schedules, which is why general contractors keep my number.
Railings. Older homes and multi-family buildings. Posts rusted at the base, handrails pulling out of brick, guards under 36 inches that need to pass before a sale.
Ornamental gates. Scrollwork gates on Harrison Boulevard and Warm Springs that need a hinge, a picket or a latch, done so the repair disappears under paint.
Trailers. Boat and raft trailers, a lot of them aluminum. Tongues, fenders, bunk brackets.
Boise contractors
If you're a GC or a framer, you need a welder who shows up when he said he would and whose work is documented for the inspector. I weld structural steel for contractors, I document it, and I keep the schedule. Beam pockets, column base plates, moment connections, embeds that got missed, stair stringers that don't fit the slab. Call me when the inspector is coming Thursday and the steel isn't right on Tuesday.
Parking and access in Boise
Downtown and the North End, tell me where the truck can sit. I can run leads a good distance, but I need to be within about fifty feet of the work. Alley access is usually the answer. For commercial jobs I'll coordinate with your site super so I'm not in the way of the other trades.
