Working in Meridian

I live and work here, so nowhere in Meridian is more than fifteen minutes from the truck. The town has grown fast, and most of my Meridian calls come from the newer subdivisions off Ten Mile, Linder and Chinden: side-yard gates that sagged the second summer, porch railings that came loose from the concrete, and the trailer parked on the RV pad with a cracked tongue. South of the freeway toward Kuna the lots get bigger and the work turns to driveway gates, pipe fence and horse-property equipment. Along Eagle Road, Overland and the I-84 frontage it's commercial: railing repairs on stairwells, dock plates, racks, and structural welding for the contractors building out the corridor.

Welding repair in Meridian

Gates, trailers, railings and equipment, fixed where they sit and reinforced so they don't break in the same place again. Here's what I can and can't repair.

Custom fabrication in Meridian

Gates, railings, brackets and frames built to your measurements, delivered and installed. Here's how a fabrication job goes.

What Meridian calls about most

Gates. Vinyl-fence neighborhoods use steel side gates, and the hinges are light. I put on real hinges and a brace and the gate stops dragging.

Railings. Front-porch railings set in the slab rust at the base within a few winters. I cut them off above the rust and set new bases.

Trailers. Boat, snowmobile and utility trailers live on side pads all over town. Tongues, fenders and ramp hinges. Aluminum ones too.

Contractors. Structural steel for the crews building along Eagle Road and Ten Mile, plus brackets, embeds and the piece that has to be fixed before the inspector comes back.

Summer in Meridian

From June to September the calls change. Sprinkler season means aluminum wheel line on the acreages south of town, and hot afternoons mean I'd rather grind on gravel than on dry grass, so tell me what the ground is like where the job sits. Winter brings the opposite problem: a frozen gate latch and a trailer that hasn't moved since October. I work Monday through Saturday year round, and the rig doesn't care what month it is as long as it isn't pouring.

Response time in Meridian

Repairs are usually one to three days out across the valley. In Meridian it's often faster because the truck is already here. If it's an emergency, a gate that won't close on a dog, a trailer you need tomorrow, say so. I'll tell you whether I can get there today.
